Enlightened Events

As the year draws to a close, it is time for us to start planning our events for 2011. Venues book out early in Sydney and Melbourne, as event planners everywhere start placing holds on venues in preparation for the following year.

My ideas for an event on Women: Spirituality and Sexuality are starting to take shape. I had contacted Eve Grzybowski, a senior Yoga teacher. She was excited about the venture and felt that many women were looking for this kind of information. Eve suggested I contact Diane Riley, from the Australian School of Tantra and also, Denise Cook, a personal growth therapist. Both were very keen to be involved.

Petrea King also agreed to speak. I called Swami Kriyatma at the Mangrove Mountain Satyananda Yoga ashram and he put me in contact with Swami Satyadharma. She agreed to speak on Kundalini. Within a week, I had 5 speakers confirmed.

On Sunday, I met with Mary Shellens, IYTA Secretary, and we canvassed some more ideas for the event. Mary suggested I speak to Wendy Batchelor for her ideas on Mother Earth and earth awareness.
