Mindfulness Practices for the Modern Woman

with Sal Flynn

In this frenetic, technology-laden twenty-first century many women are fulfilling multiple roles; working full time and often taking on primary caring responsibilities for children and elderly parents, supporting partners and adolescents.  It’s no wonder we feel overwhelmed sometimes.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the here and now, enabling us to access a source of energy that is available to us all.

Each one of us was born into a body that is equipped with some extraordinary technology.  We can access this energy any time, any where.

In this workshop Sal will share simple practices that help you look inside and self-regulate. With a little practice you can bring together the body's inbuilt technology to fine-tune the body and mind so you can tip the scale in the direction of greater equanimity, wisdom and self-compassion.

Instead of being hijacked by thoughts, or caught up in emotional upheaval, we all can navigate life's ups and downs in a way that minimizes stress and maximizes well-being and satisfaction, allowing us to inhabit the stillness, clarity and creative potential that so often escapes us when life’s “heat” is turned up.

Mindfulness practices are a way to recalibrate our relationship with our self and our experience, showing us how to be in wise relationship to life.

In this workshop Sal will invite you to experiment with five specific techniques that utilize these natural abilities to harness and direct the energy of the here and now moment.
You will learn how your senses can become valuable tools for retraining the nervous system to become more resilient.
You will experience the power of your refined presence to transform relationships.
